Heart Felt EP
Glori Wilders 2nd EP release is an exploration in throwback R&B and soul with modern spin.
Mood Swings EP
Glori Wilders first EP release on Deep Stream Records. This 3 song journey takes us into Gloris relationship with different men in her life, and the Mood Swings they went through ultimately ending their connection.
If He Can’t Do That
‘If He Can’t Do That’ is a bouncy Femme Fatale to-do list for any man who even wants to think about having a relationship with a strong woman.
Voodoo Child
Gloris third single from Deep Stream Records is a swampy, slithery groove that promises to take you on journey of soulful sensuality, and undulating rhythm.
My Future
‘My Future’ is the follow-up single from Glori Wilder, one of the strongest voices of any up-and-coming artists putting out music today. The push and pull between verses and choruses grooves in such a wonderful way, especially when Gloris 100 ton vocals weave through the production. The syncopated Bridge cleanses the palate with an undefinable movement that leaves us questioning if we truly heard what we thought we heard, and either way, we loved it.
Road To Montreal
This Journey, 19 years in the making, culminates in this vibrant young woman’s first release, ‘Road to Montreal’, for Deep Stream Records. Glori Wilders deep from the chest vocal style erupts in this powerhouse performance. Starting from an intimate conversation and traveling down an arrangement that grows into a vocal swell championing her own success down the path she has traveled thus far. Welcoming the listener into her world, Glori shares her momentum in the public eye and bids we all follow along.
[Someday} We All Will Shine
If anyone hasn’t noticed yet, anyone that is, who has had the smarts to follow the recent output of Deep Stream Records gravel throated wonder Chris Merenda… the singer songwriter has got both feet deeply immersed in the utopian waters of altruism and optimistic forecasting for the people of earth. The credo being that with a little letting go of the nasty negative spin of life, we might all find ourselves in a newfound state of, shall we say… shiny-ness.
If a guy named Al speaks a truth, that might well be called an altruism. In circles sophomoric enough to think up such a poorly played pun, without even the benefit of a lot or a little alliteration, this play on wordplay might satisfy the humor bone, but not the soul. Merenda has never been one to go for a cheap laugh or an expensive sell out to make his always-soulful point. His altruistic lyrical mission statements vibrate straight from the heart with an unabashed utopian slant, all the while never sounding cloying or naive.
The newly released ‘We All Will Shine’ is, dare one say … a shining example of how Merenda pulls off this balancing act of making old time ’people gotta get it together’ optimism, sound just cool as can be even in the most jaded of times. A great big classic rock style anthem if ever there was one, this track features Merendas’ inimitable vocal prowess, along side his house shaking Kamikaze drumming.
Listen for fellow Deep Stream artist Saint Germain and the Violet Flame providing some vocal girl power in the rousing, taking it all home, finale to this, the third stellar release on Deep Stream Records from the gruff giant Chris Merenda
Songs in the Key of B double E-R -7th
You could say this song is a bit Shakespeare-ian …or is it Britney Spears-ian? Well, you all can decide for yourselves, but clearly Bonneville needs some help here. Sounding a little roughed up and low on cash, he thankfully hasn’t sacrificed his sense of the absurd, nor does he have any undo shame in seeking the kindness of strangers during lean times. All he needs, it seems, is for ye kind listeners to pick up the tab at his next gig. What’s he drinking? Here’s our subtle clue, the title of Bonnevilles second Deep Stream release is ‘Beer Song’.
Feel free to raise a glass and chime in on this barroom foray. We’re pretty sure it’s all in good fun. And don’t you worry about Mr. Bonneville during this era of no bar rooms, and no gigs. He apparently has a room-temperature stash under his bed for just such times. Clever lad. Cheers Anthony, have a warm Michelob on us……..
no, you’re saying it wrong.
Her Last Day Here?
The latest single from Riley Cotton is out and word is it is a departure from ‘Honey’ her first Deep Stream release. And, speaking of departures, on first listen it sounds like Cotton is hitting the road for greener pastures, and warmer climes. The title of this one seems to be informing fans and listeners that she’ll only be a ‘Visitor’ here from now on…that she’s headed somewhere that is no mere car ride away.
Happily, it ends up, it’s all poetic license, and there’s no truth to any rumors this lyric might spark, as Cotton already seems to be back at work in the snowy neck of the Deep Stream woods on her next record. With that sigh of relief, sit back and take in some big twangy guitars, timbales, crunchy bass, and of course Cotton’s fantastic vocals…this visitor is here to stay.
Blue Beard or Blue Beat
It’s not the average day in the life of an upstart record label that the big release of the moment can boast the unlikely ‘genre’ of Pirate-Ska. Somehow, the mercurial ever shapeshifting artistry of Chris Merenda has handed in this unlikely musical amalgam with his latest Deep Stream Records release, ‘Wind It Up’. Exploding out of the gatewith a Punkian thrash riff, the track should yank you out of your lock-down era armchair lethargy and get you quickly clearing furniture to make way for some serious jig action. Good luck shivering your timbers at songs-end, as it ultimately propels forth towards some insane finish line….breakneck speed of course. Seen sporting his new pirate-esque earrings recently to promote the new single, Merenda was only willing to comment on what he paid for them: a buck an ear. Ouch. Out 12/11/20
In the End, We Were Friends
Black Friday might well be the day of the infamous great crash of ’29, or the frenzied day of post turkey consumer madness. It might also be another cryptic Steely Dan song. Well, true all that, but for our purposes here, it is also the fine day that marks the second Deep Stream Records release from Saint Germain and the Violet Flame, a track called What Are We Fighting For. This song’s cinematic quality does not get lost amidst its thump and circumstance. And for what it’s worth, if you happen to own a peace pipe, you might want to break it out and pass it around while taking in this anthem of truce and reconciliation. Guest appearances by fellow Deep Streamers, Chris Merenda and Riley Cotton make for an epic group chant and yodel fest. Shutdowns, lock downs, communication breakdowns, all par for the course this year but hey, no problem, everybody just stay calm and cool, and meet up with SG&TVF down at the station on Black Friday 11/27/20.
So, who is this Bonneville?
Not to be confused with some full-sized vintage car, convertible or otherwise, Bonneville in the Deep Stream sense is one Anthony Bonneville. The singer songwriter known in his wooded locale as the mild mannered, twirl-mustachioed balladeer with a knack for tongue-in-cheek musical storytelling. Our Bonneville is ready to unveil his first Deep Stream Records track entitled ‘Still Together’ on 10/16/20. A smooth but energetically textured slice of what we might call rural pop is what awaits the listener here. Attention should be paid to his impressively deft finger picking guitar technique, impressive by virtue of the fact that A.B. claims to have entered this world as a miracle child of sorts with a particular right hand limitation that today only ups the ante on what unique talents and abilities he is all too ready to serve up to his audience. Intrigued? Good. Then take a vintage full-sized ride on our latest release, ‘Still Together’, by Bonneville on 10/16/20 and become a convert-[able].
It’s 10/02/2020 and the time has come for a taste of ‘honey’……...
Not as in the time-worn musical chestnut once performed by Beatles, or Brass of the Tijuana variety, but rather, it’s time to take a long deep sip of the velvety-smooth sonic Cabernet which is the haunting voice of Riley Cotton. ’Honey’, which is Cottons’ debut Deep Stream Records single, is a hypnotizing tale of finding serendipitous new love just ’two miles down the road’. Within a seemingly simple backdrop of naturally captured sounds and its lonesome cello, the song can, at the same time, elicit complex moods and emotions oft times as sweet as the title would imply. Cotton’s vocals can also be outright intoxicating like our metaphoric glass of rich red. So, take a sip and a good listen, preferably in the nearest wildflower field while the waning season permits, and allow yourself to become its musical captive.
Chris Merenda unearths the scary skeletons from his musical past with “I Don’t Wanna Bleed No More”.
Like a ranting gravedigger in some dusty, south-of-the border desert town, Chris Merenda digs up a demon or two on his first Deep Stream Records release. Merenda delivers his parched vocal styling with an unquenchable thirst for deliverance. But, deliverance from what? Perhaps wild unfulfilled dreams of a young minstrel seeking the fame and fortune of his legendary heroes, albeit, perhaps in vain. Along this sonic highway of broken promises, beware the vipers and rattlers and skeletal remains of those who have tread this road before! And with his one final blood curdling utterance, we hear Merenda reinforce his desperado credo to the sandy reddened earth: “I Don’t Wanna Bleed No More”. Release date 9/18/20.
‘Wake Up Call’ by Saint Germain and the Violet Flame, to be premiere release from Deep Stream Records
‘Wake Up Call’ is set to drop like a sonic bomb on September 4th, 2020. This track features scorching vocals by lead singer Caitlin Teeley set against a musical backdrop only to be described as a crossroads where Queen, Janis Joplin, and Lady Gaga must duke it out on a musical battlefield. Written by Tom Teeley, who happens to be Caitlins’ Father, a true product of the raunchy New York Rock scene of the 70’s and 80’s, this track places the listener halfway between a Rock-of-Ages-style Broadway stage Performance, and a 1972 Glam band Rock Show. The only true victor here will be the listener. Godspeed, and victory to Saint Germain and the Violet Flame, May the winner take all.
